HUD Foundry Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
HUD Foundry is developed and published by PMB Ventures LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how the HUD Foundry Android companion application and its Garmin Connect IQ data field handle information, including configuration details and diagnostics used to support app reliability.
HUD Foundry does not require a PMB Ventures user account. The current Android companion does not ask for your name, email address, mailing address, or payment-card details to use its configuration features.
The Android companion does not receive a live feed of heart rate, power, location, or workout activity from the Garmin device. PMB Ventures LLC does not operate a HUD Foundry server that receives or stores Garmin activity or sensor metrics.
The Android application uses Google Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Sessions, Firebase Installations, and related Firebase services for crash reporting and app reliability. These services automatically send diagnostic and technical information to Google/Firebase, which may include:
· Crash reports, exception messages, stack traces, and related application state.
· Application version, device model, operating-system details, and device resources.
· Crashlytics installation UUIDs, Firebase installation IDs, session IDs, and timestamps.
· App-session activity, such as session starts and whether the app is foregrounded, and related reliability events.
· Technical network or device metadata, such as network type, locale, time zone, or carrier information.
HUD Foundry does not intentionally associate these reports with a name, email address, or HUD Foundry account identifier. Installation and session identifiers are pseudonymous technical identifiers; they are not necessarily anonymous. Diagnostic reporting is automatic in the current app, without an in-app opt-out control.
The Android companion stores HUD layouts, activity profiles, custom labels, selected metrics and pages, appearance settings, page-rotation preferences, and related configuration settings in the application’s private storage on your phone.
If you enter functional threshold power (FTP) or power-zone settings, the app stores those values as part of your fitness configuration. They are user-provided settings, not live workout measurements. Heart-rate previews in the editor use example values rather than live sensor readings.
The Garmin Connect IQ data field may access information supplied by your Garmin device during an activity, including speed, distance, heart rate, power, cadence, pace, and navigation information. It uses the selected metrics to present information on compatible smartglasses. PMB Ventures LLC does not receive or store this live display information on its own server.
The Android companion communicates with the HUD Foundry Garmin data field through the Garmin Connect IQ Companion App SDK and Garmin Connect Mobile. It can access Garmin device names, identifiers, connection status, and whether the HUD Foundry data field is installed, so it can route configuration messages and show connection status.
When you send a layout or configuration, the Android app passes layouts, labels, settings, and related configuration values through Garmin Connect to the selected Garmin device. Configuration messages include power-zone settings for the Cycling, Running, and Other profiles, even when you are editing or sending the currently selected profile.
The companion and data field also exchange device or application status, acknowledgements, and diagnostic messages. PMB Ventures LLC does not operate Garmin Connect or its communication services. Garmin may process information under its own privacy practices.
The Garmin data field communicates locally with compatible ENGO or other ActiveLook-powered smartglasses through Bluetooth Low Energy. The Garmin device may send selected fitness and navigation information to the glasses for display. PMB Ventures LLC does not receive or store these display messages on its servers.
HUD Foundry lets you export and import configuration files using Android’s document picker. Exported files may contain layouts, custom labels, profiles, FTP and zone settings, page-switching preferences, and appearance settings.
You select the destination for an exported file. It may be saved on your device or by a third-party cloud storage service. Exported JSON files are not encrypted by HUD Foundry itself. A storage provider’s own privacy and security practices apply when you choose that destination. PMB Ventures LLC does not automatically receive copies of your exported configuration files.
The HUD Foundry Android companion does not request device location permission or use a location-tracking feature. Firebase and other connected services may process network and technical information, potentially including an IP address, when providing their services; this is distinct from HUD Foundry tracking your route or location.
HUD Foundry does not display advertising, use an advertising SDK, access the Android Advertising ID, or use Google Analytics for behavioral or marketing tracking. Firebase’s crash, installation, and session reporting is used for application diagnostics, service operation, and reliability, not for advertising or user profiling.
PMB Ventures LLC does not sell or rent HUD Foundry user information or share it for advertising, marketing, or data-broker purposes.
Google/Firebase receives and processes diagnostic and installation/session information to provide app reliability services to PMB Ventures LLC. Configuration data that you choose to send to Garmin passes through Garmin Connect, and files you choose to export may be delivered to the destination you select. Those third-party services may independently process information under their own policies.
Configuration settings are held in the Android application’s private storage. Exported configuration files are not independently encrypted by HUD Foundry, so you should use an appropriate storage location for any information you include in them.
Firebase documents HTTPS protection for data transmitted to its services. Garmin Connect, compatible devices, and any cloud-storage provider you choose use their respective communication and security mechanisms. We do not claim that every third-party transfer is end-to-end encrypted.
Configuration information stored by HUD Foundry on your Android device generally remains until you change it, clear the application’s data, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling does not remove exported files, configuration copies on Garmin devices, or diagnostic information already transmitted to Firebase.
Google states that Firebase Crashlytics retains crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from its live and backup systems. Other Firebase information, such as installation and session records, may have different retention and deletion processes. The 90-day period should not be taken as a universal deletion deadline for all information.
The current app does not provide a self-service function for deleting already uploaded Firebase records. For privacy or deletion inquiries, contact the address below. We will review what information can reasonably be identified and what deletion options are available. Because HUD Foundry has no user accounts and diagnostics use installation identifiers, identifying and deleting an individual historical report may not always be possible.
HUD Foundry is intended for users configuring compatible Garmin devices and smartglasses. It is not designed or marketed specifically for children.
Google Firebase supports crash reporting, installation identification, and related diagnostic services. Firebase privacy and security information is available at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
HUD Foundry also interoperates with Garmin Connect and products from ENGO and other ActiveLook-compatible manufacturers. Their independent data practices are governed by their own privacy policies. HUD Foundry is an independent product of PMB Ventures LLC and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Garmin, ENGO, or ActiveLook.
At the date of this policy, the HUD Foundry Android companion does not yet implement in-app purchases. If Plus or Pro purchases become available through Google Play, we will update this policy before release to describe any purchase, transaction, or entitlement information processed by HUD Foundry or its service providers. Payment-card information handled directly by Google Play is subject to Google’s applicable policies.
We may update this policy as HUD Foundry’s features, third-party services, or data-handling practices change. We will update the “Last updated” date to identify the version posted on our website.
